Junior Financial Accountant

Key Responsibilities:

  • Month end duties: work as part of a team responsible for overhead costs for MEEL across EMEA including preparation of payroll journals, rent accruals and allocation of travel costs
  • Assist in the production of month end balance sheet reconciliations
  • Support the Senior Financial Accountant with the preparation of VAT returns
  • Perform detailed monthly review of BS accounts and explanation of variances
  • Perform detailed monthly review of P&L accounts and explanation of variances
  • Assist with timely monthly, quarterly and year end close processes & reporting
  • Assist Senior Financial Accountants with the production of statutory accounts for EMEA Branch Entities
  • Compilation of data for forwarding to external accounting services providers
  • Completion of statutory returns for Government and other bodies
  • Assist with annual internal and external audit requests
  • Opportunity to work with Senior Financial Accountants on various projects as/when required across many areas including tax, internal control and financial analysis

Education / Experience:

  • Part- qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) - essential
  • Multi-national experience - FMCG preferred but not essential
  • Financial and logistics systems skills - SAP preferred
  • Intermediate / Advanced Excel skills
