We are working with one of the top universities in the UK to recruit for a Lead Patch Management Engineer on a permanent basis. This role will focus on providing an excellent technology platform to support end users across the university.

Salary: £50,000 – £55,000 per annum plus excellent benefits
Duration: Permanent
Location: London

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Identifying and deploying critical security patches across all networked devices
• Monitoring systems to ensure all patching is completed successfully
• Tracking patch management metrics to report on compliance and effectiveness
• Supporting Windows 10 and 11
• Packaging and deploying applications
• Taking a proactive approach towards staying up to date with the latest security vulnerabilities, patch releases, and software updates

The successful candidate will have:

• Strong experience implementing and managing patch management systems and tools, such as Windows Server Update Services (WSUS), Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (formerly SCCM) or other similar solutions
• Experience with effective patch management processes and procedures, including vulnerability assessment, patch testing, deployment strategies, and post-patch validation
• Knowledge of Intune, configuration manager, operating system deployment, and application deployment
