Legal Entity Accountant

Goodman Masson are working with a global Hedge Fund specialising in debt management with a substantial portfolio under management. This company has a lean team of impressive finance experts, with extensive industry knowledge. This role provides the opportunity to access the Hedge Fund industry which can only be described as highly sought after, difficult to gain access to, and incredibly rewarding though developing finance skills and experience within this remit.

The Legal Entity Accountant will focus on regulatory and statutory accounting requirements for the company’s entities. They will contribute to general accounting and financial reporting processes, supporting the monthly reporting cycle and enhancing their knowledge in these areas. The chosen candidate should have a good understanding of the business and the relevant accounting practices within the company, ensuring strong control measures and providing accurate reporting to stakeholders. They will also play a vital role in liaising with external auditors to facilitate a seamless audit process.

Technical Skills, Knowledge, Systems Knowledge:
– Recently qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA) with strong academic background.
– Proficiency in technical accounting, particularly in international financial reporting standards.
– Experience in auditing/accounting within financial services is ESSENTIAL, preferably in Investment Financial Services
– Experience in preparing and reviewing statutory accounts.
– Familiarity with regulatory reporting is desirable.
– Advanced Excel skills.
– Exposure to financial systems such as ERP or GL platforms is a plus
