Management Accountant - Property Consulting Division
Monthly management accounts
Accounts preparation and analysis for two companies
Ensure all timesheet and invoicing entries are completed by staff for the relevant month and recorded accurately in the Agresso ledger system
Analyse monthly payrolls to monitor staff costs
Review spend on contract staff to ensure all chargeable hours are accounted for
Accruals and prepayments preparation
Review monthly Balance sheet reconciliations prepared by the accounts assistant and ensure any queries are followed up
Preparation of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts
Support and mentoring of accounts assistant
Reconcile group inter-company accounts
Assisting in the WIP review process and recording the work in progress movements
Preparation of various month end reports
Liaising with Project managers and directors and external auditors
Calculate and post entries to record inter-departmental trading
Coordinate external audit requests for the division and act as the main contact
Preparation of VAT returns and correspondence with HMRC
Help to complete PSA returns in conjunction with the payroll function
Manage and respond to information requests from the Office of National Statistics
Qualifications and experience
The candidate should have solid experience in a management accounting role.
It is anticipated that the candidate will be part qualified or working towards a ACCA/CIMA qualification.
Very good Excel skills are required.
It is desirable that the candidate has previous experience with the Agresso accounting system however experience over time of other accounting systems would be sufficient.
