If you are a Part Qualified / Nearly Qualified Actuary through exams or experience and interested in Managing a team within an international Life Insurance business, you may be interested in this new vacancy.
This Team Leader role will be managing the day to day processes across a busy modelling team who support a number of Life Actuarial functions including reporting, capital, risk and pricing. You will be responsible for running projects from start to finish as well as overseeing 1 - 3 grads / students. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is looking for their first step into management or is keen to use their combined modelling and actuarial skills to deliver ongoing projects. Other duties include:
- Allocating and prioritising work, supervising specific tasks and supporting staff development
- Ensuring processes and controls are up to date, robust and in line with the company's appetite to risk
- Heading up requirement gathering meetings with senior stakeholders across the business
- Recommend and implement improvements
In order to be considered, you will have previous modelling experience within a Life Insurer. Experience in Prophet is an advantage but not essential. Whilst previous management experience is not essential, you must have strong communication skills and be credible in discussing complex matters with senior members of the actuarial team.
