Product Owner

My client is looking for a Product Owner to work on the end-to-end delivery of a key porject, developing the product roadmap for their charging network for their customer base as part of their Electrical Vehicle Solutions.

Responsible for the end-to-end delivery of the roadmap and related business improvement initiatives. The Product Owner is a crucial part of the business unit and will work closely with stakeholders, software developers and external suppliers to ensure everything delivered is meeting business goals.

Key accountabilities:

• Ultimately responsible for delivery of the product roadmap and associated KPIs on behalf of the business.
• Acts as an intermediary between the business and the software development team, translating business requirements into well well-defined product requirements including features, user stories, and acceptance test criteria.
• Support the software development team through creating and maintaining a product backlog and thereby supporting the sprint backlog.
• Initiate and manage project delivery, including defining resources, deliverables, and timing.
• Represent the business in daily software team stand ups and help prioritise roadmap deliverables.
• Ensure the business is informed of project status, delivery and prioritisation through stakeholder management and product delivery meetings.
• Manage relationships and drive collaboration across projects and programmes using a cross functional approach to stakeholder management.
• Works closely with Head of Product Development to ensure product backlog delivers business value.
• Effectively manage the handover of the product into BAU operations.
• Proactive in innovating effective ways to enhance the product delivery, and to optimise the efficiency of delivery plans.

Experience:

• Product Owner, Product Development Manager or Product Manager experience.
• Experience working in a customer service focused industry including B2B, B2BC that deliver customer value through software platforms and multiple customer channels. Suitable industries could include EV charging industry, Energy Services, Telecoms, Fintech and Ecommerce retailers.
• Experience of leading technology change across software and infrastructure, using Agile and other project delivery methodology.
• Stakeholder management experience across multiple functions including IT, operations, sales, finance and external suppliers.
• Experience in translating product roadmap features into well-defined product requirements including features, user stories, and acceptance test criteria.
• Experience of managing progress through project gateways and governance, and experience of working with all levels of stakeholder up to senior management level.
