As part of an organisational-wide improvement programme, a governmental organisation based in Birmingham are seeking a Project Accountant to join their project finance team to develop and improve their financial processes and systems.
Working closely with the Programme Manager and CFO, you will review existing systems and help to establish policies and procedures in relation to the financial reporting processes. In addition, you will take responsibility for the quarterly reports and oversee the management of the external audit process as well as other ad hoc financial accounting duties.
You will be an ACA qualified accountant with at least 3 years post-qualified experience. You will have had exposure to managing process improvement projects and have a keen eye for detail.
The role will be for an initial term of 6 months and has the option of working from London up to one day a week upon request.
