An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Quality Assurance Manager and Qualified Person who is looking to join a leading pharmaceuticals manufacturing business in a strategic position working on the front line of drug delivery to patients. The role is based in Preston paying around £85,000 with a great benefits package and the ability to go higher for someone who would bring extensive experience.
The business, who supply over 70% of their market, are now looking to hire a Quality Assurance Manager for their site based in Preston. Having rapidly grown their dosage output and recently secured new contracts covering the next 10 years, this is an important senior appointment for the business and crucial to future quality strategy and growth.
The QP/Quality Assurance Manager will be responsible for directing quality and ensuring the consistent product output from their site. Holding full autonomous responsibility, you will be heavily involved in a hands-on all-encompassing role that allows access to the full spectrum of QA. You will have a detailed involvement in the quality processes surrounding a time-sensitive batch release and manage the QMS.
The ideal candidate will have the following core experience, abilities and attributes:
* Eligibility to act as a Qualified Person. Both current UK QP's and EU QP's will be considered
* Proven experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing
* Strong knowledge base of quality management systems and business quality processes
* Passionate about the pharmaceutical industry with an appreciation of how an advanced product directly impacts the patient
* Be driven, ambitious and eager to learn
Due to the product range and proximity to the end user this would be a great opportunity for a candidate who wishes to work in an environment where their actions have a direct influence on improving patient lives.
Given the short lifespan of the product, an exciting feature of the role is that the successful applicant will be constantly thinking on their feet and reacting to new challenges. This type of experience is rare and will therefore offer the successful candidate a multitude of career options within the pharmaceutical industry. It will allow for a seamless transition into a more senior role within other less advanced dosage forms as well as offer an excellent grounding for a future consultant/interim QP.
A salary of up to £85,000 is on offer for the successful Qualified Person with the flexibility to offer more for an ideal candidate.
Candidate shortlisting has already begun with a view to make a decision on interviews quickly so, if you are interested, please apply as soon as possible or contact James Ivall at Goodman Masson and I will happily discuss the role in more detail.
Hope to hear from you soon.
