Role Responsibilities:

Risk Framework Development: Assist in the design and improvement of stress testing, Value at Risk, and various limit frameworks for diverse product portfolios and strategies.

Risk and Performance Analysis: Conduct in-depth analysis of portfolios and strategies to identify key risk and performance drivers. Enhance the current risk infrastructure to facilitate efficient risk management and gain a deeper understanding of portfolio construction and investment behavior.

Collaborative Engagement: Work closely with senior risk managers to engage with portfolio managers and research analysts. Discuss critical topics such as risk limit usage, portfolio construction, tail exposure, and forward-looking risk events.

Innovative Research: Conduct research to develop innovative risk management approaches, tools, and analytics. Share your findings with senior management and contribute to our ongoing excellence.

Tech Collaboration: Partner with the technology team to transition prototypes into production and continuously enhance them if necessary. Collaborate with macro strats and valuation teams to ensure the high quality of valuation and risk models.

Candidate Requirements:

Educational Background: A degree (master’s strongly preferred) in quantitative finance, statistics, math, engineering, or computer science.

Experience: A minimum of 5 years of work experience in quantitative research, trading, or risk management related to energy products, with a focus on US and European power & gas products.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL and quantitative programming languages such as Python, MATLAB, and R. Experience in handling large datasets.
