We are currently recruiting on behalf of one of the largest infrastructure businesses globally, who are looking to hire newly or recently qualified accountants from practice who are looking to make their first move into industry. The business has gone from strength to strength and is one of the most reputable businesses within the sector, but also on the FTSE and is a regularly award winner for their investment in their staff. As a result, our client has a demonstrable track record of hiring people from practice backgrounds and helping them to consolidate their technical skill set in an industry environment, before progressing them internally into more commercial roles within their finance function, either at group level or within one of their business units.

As a financial accountant, you will be responsible for:

- Statutory reporting - assistance with the statutory accounts process - the best way to understand how the business works as a new hire
- Technical guidance - assistance in assessing the impact of new accounting standards on the activities of their business
- Ad hoc projects, focusing on more technical areas, eg acquisition accounting and analysis.
- Cost review analysis of project spend

In order to be appropriate for this role, you will be/have:

- A demonstrable academic background holding a degree from a top-tier university
- ACA qualified (or equivalent) from practice
- A bright, engaging manner with the confidence to work with senior finance and non-finance stakeholders
- An interest in the property & construction sectors
