I am recruiting for a new opportunity to join Goodman Masson Actuarial, as we further expand our market leading recruitment team in the UK and Europe.

As a Candidate Researcher, you will focus on developing your skills in market mapping, candidate generation, headhunting and candidate management, to support two very experienced consultants and their UK and European client base.

For our UK clients, we are looking for someone to take ownership of candidate relationships within the Actuarial Contracting market. Here you will be regularly speaking with and meeting senior actuaries, building your network and sourcing candidates in the very fast-moving temporary/contract market. You will be very comfortable meeting new people, building relationships with very experienced, senior candidates, and at times working under pressure to impress our clients whilst working to tight deadlines. You will have fantastic written and verbal communication skills and will enjoy being part of a high performing team during an exciting period of growth.

For our European clients, you will help to map out and grow our candidate network across a number of new European markets. This will involve utilising tools such as LinkedIn and Xing, as well as significant time spent directly headhunting candidates over the telephone for specific mandates. You will learn how to identify and then build relationships with experienced Actuaries in some of the fastest growing financial hubs across Europe. As well as excellent communication skills, you will be very organised with high attention to detail. A second language could be advantageous, and an interest to learn about financial markets outside of the UK.

Candidates are likely to be degree educated with some prior experience of working in an office environment. Sales experience would be an advantage, but more important is having the right skills, attitude and motivation to become an expert recruiter in a highly specialist market. Candidate who would like to focus their career on candidate generation, market mapping and candidate relationship management rather than client consulting will be preferred, as this is the most important skill set in our highly specialist market. Goodman Masson offers excellent training, development and career progression, an award winning benefits boutique and an unrivalled working environment!
