The main responsibilities of the Repairs/Voids Surveyor are.
- Manage budgets and cost controls to ensure financial compliance.
- Provide expert technical reports, appraisals, measurements, costings, and estimates for various surveys, including maintenance repairs, voids, disrepair, and damp and mould inspections.
- Regularly inspect the quality of workmanship to uphold agreed standards, ensuring timely completion of call-backs based on priority and risk.
- Drive continuous improvement and innovation while delivering value for money.
- Ensure confidentiality and compliance with the Data Protection Act and GDPR in all aspects of your work.
- Identify and report risks within your area of responsibility in accordance with risk management procedures.
My client is looking for:
- A minimum of a degree or HND/HNC in Surveying/Construction or equivalent, along with relevant work experience and evidence of continuing professional development.
- Previous experience in a Housing Association is essential, as is experience with refurbishment and capital works.
- A sound knowledge of building regulations, procurement routes, construction practices, and building contracts.
