Repairs Surveyor

Are you an experienced building surveyor ready to make a positive impact in the field of social housing? Are you on a short notice period or immediately available? If so, we invite you to join our team in a fulfilling and dynamic role as a Repairs Surveyor.

The main responsibilities of the Repairs/Voids Surveyor are.

• Manage budgets and cost controls to ensure financial compliance.
• Provide expert technical reports, appraisals, measurements, costings, and estimates for various surveys, including maintenance repairs, voids, disrepair, and damp and mould inspections.
• Regularly inspect the quality of workmanship to uphold agreed standards, ensuring timely completion of call-backs based on priority and risk.
• Drive continuous improvement and innovation while delivering value for money.
• Ensure confidentiality and compliance with the Data Protection Act and GDPR in all aspects of your work.
• Identify and report risks within your area of responsibility in accordance with risk management procedures.

My client is looking for:

• A minimum of a degree or HND/HNC in Surveying/Construction or equivalent, along with relevant work experience and evidence of continuing professional development.
• Previous experience in a Housing Association is essential, as is experience with refurbishment and capital works.
• A sound knowledge of building regulations, procurement routes, construction practices, and building contracts.

My client can offer a flexible approach to working with two days a week in the office and the rest working remotely.
