This Risk Actuary opportunity sits within the senior management team of a global life insurance business who provide a wide range of protection and annuity products. As Risk Actuary, you will play a key role in delivering expert risk oversight and setting a governance framework for the UK insurance division. Part of your day to day role will include:
- Partnering with the heads of business across actuarial and finance - understanding their strategic objectives and providing value add insights to help deliver their long term goals
- Leading the ORSA process, designing stress and scenario testing, reviewing and analysing results and ensuring ORSA policies are being adhered to across the business
- Reviewing pricing initiatives, corporate initiatives and the business plan
- Mentoring and supporting a team of 3 (mixture of students and qualified actuaries)
This role will give you excellent visibility to C-suite stakeholders and the chance to present your findings as well as making recommendations. If you are looking for a position where you can add value and help make important strategic decisions, this could be a great opportunity for you.
In order to be considered, you must be a qualified actuary with ideally 3 - 5 years PQE and a background in some of the areas above. Previous experience in a role where you had visibility across the balance sheet, valuations or ORSA and were accountable for decision making will also be considered.
