Join a Leading Insurance Company as a Risk & Control Specialist – Up to £60,000 | London | 2 Days Work-from-Home

Are you ready to take on a pivotal role within the Risk Function of a prominent insurance powerhouse? We are seeking a skilled Risk & Control Specialist to join our dynamic team. This role plays a critical part in managing risk and internal controls, ensuring the smooth operation of our Risk Framework and providing a second line of defence oversight.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate closely with the Risk Manager to operate the Risk Framework, supporting oversight of Corporation and market oversight risks.
• Facilitate the efficient functioning of risk governance forums, including material preparation, minute-taking, and action tracking.
• Aid in achieving Risk Management team goals through enterprise risk management processes, such as risk and control assessments and ORSA reporting.
• Lead coordination of risk and control assessment process to assure Council that risks align with risk appetite.

Requirements:

• Understanding of Risk Management, encompassing a grasp of essential risk principles and methodologies, and adeptness in translating this comprehension into pragmatic business resolutions.
• Acquaintance with Solvency II (particularly Pillar 2) and pertinent regulatory mandates.
• Demonstrated relationship management skills for effective cross-departmental interaction.
• Excellent communication (verbal and written) skills to deliver clear, accurate reporting to diverse audiences.
• Ownership of tasks and projects with the capacity to work independently.
