A new opportunity for a Senior Actuary has arisen within a start up business based in Central London. This position sits directly under the Chief Actuary and is responsible for ensuring regulatory and reporting regulations are met. As this is a start up company, the role will be anything but a handle turning position, you will be working closely with the CEO and Chief Risk Officer on a variety of projects to help the business during it's first few years of growth.

On a day to day basis your duties will include the following:

  • Calculating provisions and solvency capital requirements, setting best estimate assumptions
  • Developing and running financial models
  • Drafting actuarial valuation and results reports
  • Producing SFCR reports
  • Running projections for the business plan and the company's ORSA

A strong background in SII, valuations and reporting is essential plus good working knowledge of UK insurance regulations. you will be responsible for making key business decisions so you must demonstrate ability to challenge and be challenged.
