Senior Investments Risk Actuary – Life Insurance to GI

A unique opportunity has arisen for a life insurance actuary with an investments / capital focused background to move into a senior role with industry oversight of investment performance. You will challenge senior decision makers on investment decisions and understand their investment decision making with a view to improving risk governance.

This role will include:

Assets and capital – focusing on the asset side of the balance sheet. Challenging the business on the investment strategy and liquidity. Thinking about capability initiates and internal model governance work too.

This will involve some focus on their economic scenario generator – and you will lead on ensuring that the assumptions that they’re making are reasonable.
