My client is looking for an energetic, passionate individual to run one of their various charity stores across southwest London, providing high-quality second-hand goods. This rapidly growing retail division is looking for a talented and innovative person to be apart of their ambitious plans.

Key responsibilities:
In this hands-on role, you will support and guide your team of volunteers as well as your assistant shop manager to become a high performing result driven team.

  • Ensuring the shop is consistently achieving/exceeding sales targets and profitability goals.
  • Regularly reporting KPI results to Area Manager.
  • Delivering an exceptional customer experience, this includes guaranteeing the shops visual presentation is up to standards.
  • Managing health and safety issues, making sure that risk assessments are us to date.
  • Managing rotas so that all shifts will be adequately covered.
  • Promoting and managing gift aid processes, this will include supporting shop staff to maximise contributions.
  • Overall management, including main key holder, cash handling and banking procedures are followed.
  • Contributing to regular team meetings and training’s reflecting my clients core values.

Requirements:

  • Experience working within a charity shop or a background in high street retail.
  • Communications skills. This is key when working with your team to ensure your shop runs smoothly.
  • Problem solver and decision maker.
  • Adequate level of numeracy
  • At least two year’s experience in a retail environment.
