One of the UK's leading Pension Schemes is in the midst of bringing core functions 'in-house' and are in the process of building out a Strategy Team. To that end, they require a Consultant / Strategy professional who has worked in some of the most prestigious Strategy Houses or leading Asset Management / Private Equity firms to join this newly created team.
You will report into the Head of Strategy & Transformation and work closely with the CEO and the Executive team to bring strong alignment on strategic objectives across the organisation and how they are delivered across various teams and functions. The work the team does is truly cross-functional, highly project based and hugely varied in terms or topics covered. Almost by definition, the responsibilities will be highly varied and project dependent; each project will likely include some elements of the following responsibilities:
- Act as a strategic thought partner to business leaders
- Structured analysis and problem solving
- Develop strategic narratives and story-telling
- Enable collaborative and cross functional work across teams
- Incubate, develop and launch new strategic initiatives
My client are looking for Strategy professionals with experience of working within the to Strategy Houses, Asset Management or Insurance firms. You will have an outstanding track record of professional and academic achievement, extremely strong senior stakeholder management abilities and be a natural team player. You will have strong analytical and modelling skills, strong financial acumen and have strong verbal and written communication. Experience of Pension products and / or experience of delivering projects related to Target Operating Model / business unit strategy / leading prioritisation or resources across change activity would be highly beneficial.
