This government sector who deliver pensions currently requires a UX Architect to join them on a permanent basis. You will be responsible for influencing the directorate to exercise the user centricity by product change, service improvements, and better communications.

As an UX architect you will be working with specialist teams to deliver the below:

  • The user experience across for one of the customer groups
  • Directing TCS/internal teams on the user experience design (and redesign) of functional areas of our transactional websites, the PAW, and help centres for one of our customer groups.
  • Lead the transition to a model where we take direct control of specifying the screen designs the provision of design prototypes that conform to agreed technical parameters.
  • Deliver prototypes,layout design, specifications for interaction and interface design, information architectures, navigation, search, user flows, personas and other user experience deliverables as defined by individual project briefs.
  • Commission technical expertise (from the digital delivery team or external parties if required) to improve the user interface. Provide technical consultancy to the digital delivery team.
  • Design,develop and own the UX principle and ensure they are applied across the service.
  • Lead the development of UX requirements for change across the service and support the product design team in their delivery.
  • Provide expertise and consultancy on digital best practices to the wider directorate and contribute to the development and evolution of the digital strategy. This includes consultancy on website management, content strategy, SEO and email marketing.

In order to be successful to qualify you will need the below experience:

  • design and delivery of a large scale online proposition
  • a high-level brief to deliver a creative solution for complex business requirements
  • Understanding of front end web development and web technologies and how they are used to deliver large scale digital solutions
  • Knowledge web content accessibility guidelines (WCAG) and how they are applied to design for inclusiveness
  • Using Axure to design and maintain complex prototypes
  • Producing high quality design documentation including site maps, user journeys, process diagrams, personas, style guidelines and experience maps
  • Working within strict brand guidelines and the ability to craft solutions that meet usability and functional design best practice while remaining brand compliant
  • Applying customer insight to enhance a user experience
  • Designing complex interfaces across varying audiences under many different use cases and functional conditions
  • Working with outsourced technology partners and quality controlling their outputs
  • Working within technology limitations and finding solutions that are possible to implement whilst not compromising quality or end user experience
