Year End/Financial Accountant

A distinguished and reputable housing association that covers London and the surrounding home counties is looking for a financial accountant who specialises in year-end to come into the group financial control team.

Not only do they help communities prosper and develop, but they also provide a supportive, welcoming and inspiring environment to work. The team is looking to take on a qualified candidate for 6 months to begin, with the very strong possibility of the role extending or being made permanent.

Role:

• Delivering a successful year-end process, both in the consolidation and the subsidiary accounts and liaising with external auditors
• Produce statutory accounts and ensure accuracy of accounting records
• Compliance is maintained with FRS 102 and Housing SORP
• Prepare audit working papers for year end
• Process month end journals and maintain balance sheet controls and reconciliations

Requirements:

• History of preparing consolidated statutory accounts
• Experience in balance sheet reconciliations and analytical review
• ACA/ACCA or CIMA qualified
• Advanced Excel skills
• Driven and energetic
