The Accounts Payable Supervisor is responsible for effectively and efficiently managing the day to day operations of the Accounts Payable department, which includes the corporate AP systems, supplier master data , people, internal controls and processes.

The team operates in a regulated and demanding transaction processing environment, therefore the supervisor must ensure that the team operates within a tightly controlled environment, with the highest level of accuracy, while providing the company and it's vendors a superior level of service.

Experience required:

Proven experience in the following areas:

  • Strong understanding of Purchase to Pay process, related controls, compliance and risks
  • 3-5 years of an Account Payables supervisory experience
  • Experience of setting objectives and carrying out performance reviews
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills

Essential functions of the job:

  • Manage day to day Accounts Payable operation i.e. invoice processing, query desk , payment runs
  • Support the AP team through effective supervision, timely performance reviews and performance management
  • Work with Systems Accountant to identify and resolve AP related issues within the ERP system
  • Ensure unreconciled items from the balance sheet reconciliations are cleared in line with the agreed timescales
  • Ensure that the recharge process is completed correctly and within the agreed timescales
  • Support the line manager with the Internal and External Audit Process
  • Provide Purchase to Pay best practice and process guidance and training
  • Monitor and report on KPIs and SLAs as agreed with line manager
