Client Onboarding Officer

A fast-growing commercial company, with an exceptionally admirable mission behind its purpose, is looking for a new Client Onboarding Officer to join their fantastic London-based team! This unique company has a global presence, and works to support the development of financial markets in lower income countries by mobilising local currency investment for infrastructure projects.

The Client Onboarding Officer's main responsibilities include:

  • Responsibility for all Client Onboarding process and reviews of existing clients/projects
  • Ensuring that all relationships and projects are onboarded or reviewed in accordance with AML, Fraud, Sanctions regulations; In addition, supporting your Manager in the management of AML, CTF and KYC matters
  • Reviewing new prospects and existing relationships evaluating the risk profile and KYC documentation, solving any issues found by interacting with the Relationship Managers and Systems & Compliance Manager
  • Supporting the business when KYC/AML related enquiries come in by aiding and guiding, outlining options and recommending solutions

The successful candidate will:

  • Have minimum 2 years Onboarding and Reviews experience; end to end process and strong knowledge of different types of entities (SPV, Trusts, Charities) and an awareness of risk factors when dealing with high-risk entities/individuals
  • Have a corporate background and have worked on complex company structures
  • Be knowledgeable of banking and regulatory frameworks, and of KYC and AML requirements for various customer types
  • Have knowledge of the Joint Money Laundering Steering Group (JMLSG) and the Money Laundering Regulations (MLR)
  • Be proactive, with a problem-solving approach to looking for compliant solutions
