I am working with a Housing Association based in the North West who are looking to bring in a Development Manager into their team to oversee all the New Build and Regeneration developments.
My client is looking to delivery circa 150 homes per year across the region through a mix of new build and regeneration schemes for rent and sale.
About the role
Reporting directly into the Head of Development you will oversee the delivery function, taking sites from the Land team and getting them completed with the contractors/housebuilders. The schemes you will be developing will largely be land led, with the occasional package/section 106 and you will be delivering circa 150 units/year. You will be in charge in making sure the sites are delivered to the highest standard, within time and budget that match the organisations expectations.
The role also offers the development manager to get involved in the commercial decisions and elements of design to ensure they are maximising the customer experience for years to come.
My client is looking for a relay team player who can fit into the tight knit team and empower others to work to their full potential. Whilst the role looks like a traditional Development Manager one, they are ideally looking for someone who can help them spot opportunities within developments to increase the experience of the tenant, be it introducing communal areas, shops, or other facilities.
You will need to be able to demonstrate your understanding of the residential development cycle and your experience working on and leading projects. If you have commercial experience this might also be a bonus, as several of their schemes will involve commercial aspects.
