Goodman masson are currently working with a growing technology business based in Shoreditch. The role is an accounts payable clerk and is paying up to £28,000. This role is looking for someone with an interest in pursuing their CIMA or ACCA with a relevent degree.

Responsibilities:

Purchase Ledger

  • Posting all invoices into the purchase ledger
  • Maintain the purchase ledger, including any necessary reconciliations
  • Process company credit cards (and checking VAT), ensuring spend is in line with budget and company policy
  • Process expense claim forms (and checking VAT), ensuring spend is in line with budget and company policy

Cash Flow

  • Raising weekly and ad-hoc payment runs for approval of the Finance Manger
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Assisting the Finance Manager in credit controlwhere necessary
  • Updating the cash flowon a weekly basis

Project Costing

  • Ensuring completeness and accuracy of project related costs
  • Issuing month end reports on project expenses to project managers
  • Reconciling project expenses in cost of sales
  • Producing monthly project P&Ls for the Finance Manger to review

Financial Reporting & Compliance

  • Maintaining prepayments and accruals schedules
  • Assisting the Finance Manager with VAT returns
  • Assisting the Finance Manager with the year end accounts and annual audit

Payroll

  • Raising the monthly payroll journal for sign off
  • Raising the monthly PAYE & NIC payments

Administration

  • On boarding of new employees, including finance inductions
  • Monitor billing/finance inboxes (forwarding messages, responding to emails, printing invoices, monitoring any e-billing accounts etc)
  • Assist the Finance Team in any other ad-hoc duties

Required skills and qualifications:

  • Graduate or AAT Level 2 Qualified
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to multi task and time manage work between finance and payroll
  • Willing to adapt to new systems and processes
