I am really excited to be partnering with this retailer on a brand new Head of Finance vacancy which arisen because of their rapid growth - sales have increased by 40% this year and they are now selling to customers through their own website but also through many well-known supermarkets and smaller, independent retailers. They are looking to re-platform next year so there will be a lot of ad-hoc commercial work to get involved with too. Their MD is looking for someone to come in and lead the finance function but equally assist him with strategic decisions and investment appraisals. Their office, based in South London (SE) has a really relaxed working culture - it's dress down and dogs are more than welcome! They have a flexible approach to working hours and are seeking to secure BCorp certification soon through their charitable and environmentally friendly work. This really is a fantastic brand and an amazing opportunity for someone who is looking for their next challenge in a fast paced, hard working environment.

The Head of Finance will be responsible for:

  • Leading the finance function
  • Monthly management accounts and statutory accounts
  • Budgeting and forecasting
  • Cash flow
  • Preparing board packs and shareholder reports
  • Tax compliance and payroll
  • Stock management
  • Contract negotiation
  • Support the MD with strategic decisions

For the position of Head of Finance, my client is looking for someone who has/is:

  • Manufacturing experience ideally within a SME Consumer or Retail brand
  • Qualified - ACA, ACCA or CIMA
  • Ideally managed or mentored previously
  • The ability to work in a fast paced environment
