An NHS Trust, located in Surrey, is recruiting for an Information Analyst to come in to help design, develop, and distribute an extensive range of timely, accurate, and relevant information reports to both internal and external customers, including Clinicians, Business Managers, Trust Directors, and Department of Health.

Key Duties:

  • Provide analytical services to Trust Directorates, by understanding and interpreting their information needs
  • Offer advise on the feasibility of information requests based on detailed knowledge of data structures, availability, and known quality issues
  • Obtain, document, and agree clear specifications of the requestors needs through detailed analysis of their requirements
  • Create/provide simple or complex reports based on agreed user specifications within approved timescales, keeping requestors informed of progress on their request
  • Write queries on SQL and MS Access
  • Provide analysis, forecasting, and modelling on any extracted regular and ad hoc datasets as requested

Key Skills and Experience Needed:

  • Experience using some BI tool
  • Experience within the NHS
  • An ability to interpret information and data to have meaning and relevance to the Trust business performance
  • Good understanding of data and trend analysis and statistical and modelling skills
  • Well developed skills in SQL, Microsoft Access, Excel, and statistical packages
  • Good spreadsheet, trend analysis, and modelling skills
  • An ability to create pivot tables or dashboards in Excel
