Interim Finance Manager

A well known and much loved national charity, who are going through an exciting period of improving their financial processes and system to achieve the optimum financial infrastructure, are looking for an Interim Finance Manager to manage their transactional team.

As Interim Finance Manager, your main responsibilities will include:

• Managing a small team of three Finance Officers
• Overseeing the AP function, ensuring the integrity of purchasing and weekly payment processes, and overseeing the sales ledger function, ensuring prompt credit control and accurate recording of the charity’s varied income sources
• Preparing and posting journals into the finance system
• Completing monthly balance sheet reconciliation within a week of ledger close

The successful candidate will:

• Be part qualified or qualified by experience
• Have excellent technical accounting knowledge
• Be a strong people manager with prior management/supervisory experience
• Have advanced Excel skills and the ability to navigate numerous spreadsheets
• Have charity sector experience, or experience in the wider non profit sector

This role falls inside of IR35; the day rate (£250 – £300 DOE) would be via an umbrella company however a PAYE equivalent is also possible.
