Job title: Accounts Assistant – Office based
Reporting to: Head of Accounts
Department: Corporate Accounts

Main Objectives:
- To support the Corporate Accounts department
- To maintain the Accounts Payable function and assist with Accounts Receivable
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintaining the Purchase ledger function for group:
- Purchase Invoice management (logging/processing)
- Obtaining Vat invoices for costs invoiced on proforma basis
- Prepare supplier payments for approval
- Allocate supplier payments
- New supplier management (set up, carrying out data checks)
- Liaising with suppliers as necessary in respect of queries, reconciling to statements, dealing with letters/debt collection referrals.
- Reconciliations of Utilities
- Management and ownership of the Accounts Payable email accounts
- Maintain CIS records
- Processing expenditure on company cards
- Ensuring imports and import VAT are posted correctly and reconciled
- Assisting with Accounts receivable:
- Raise sales invoices/fees/recharges as required
- Reconciliation of receipts against income systems
- General/Adhoc:
- Assist with management account reconciliations and adjustments as required
- Periodic bank reconciliations
- Assist with other duties as required by the Accounts Team/Directors.
Knowledge, Experience and Skills Required:
Knowledge:
- Minimum of AAT qualified essential or part qualified AAT
- Knowledge of book-keeping and accounting
- Knowledge of Accounting software systems, Twinfield preferred but not essential
- Proficient in use of Microsoft Office Outlook and Word, intermediate knowledge of Excel
Experience:
- Experience within the Accounting & Finance sector essential, minimum of ?? years.
- Previous experience of Purchase ledger management essential
- Previous book-keeping/Accounts department experience
Pay and Benefits
- £27-30,000 per annum plus study support
