Contract Requirement- Senior Infrastructure Engineer - 12 month FTC

My Client, a London based Housing Association is recruiting for a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join their IT Operations Function on a 12 month FTC. This team has a open culture with lots of opportunity to be exposed to new technologies and the potential for the position to go permanent.

Location: Central London

Role & Responsibilities of the Infrastructure Engineer:

  • Provide 1st & 2nd Line Support to 350+ Users within the Housing Association relating to infrastructure changes
  • Document and monitor the organisation LAN/WAN infrastructure
  • Managing the service & system operational infrastructure
  • Assist IT Service Desk staff in improving their infrastructure knowledge
  • Maintaining and developing the organistaions Storage technologies, VMware and virtual environments
  • Manage Citrix environment, design and develop the virtual desktop technology

The successful Senior Infrastructure Engineer will have experience:

  • Using a service desk application and ITIL
  • Administering and managing Microsoft Active Directory and Azure AD
  • Experience administering and managing Virtual environments including VMware ESX and vCenter or Hyper-V
  • Administering and managing Citrix environments
  • Administering and managing Azure or AWS IAAS environments
  • Administering and managing of Office 365
  • Knowledge of SAN technologies and knowledge of IP telephony (Skype for Business)
