I'm working for a technology and telecommunications company based in Central London, where I am hiring a Senior Management Accountant. This technology and telecommunications business has experienced high growth over the past few years, with a laser focused finance team aiming to support the business's ambitious commercial roles.

The role of Senior Management Accountant will include:

  • Business partnering and meeting with business heads and key stakeholders, discussing variance analysis and other critical commentary
  • Developing and maintaining a solid understanding of business risks and opportunities
  • Preparing month end journals and working papers
  • Assisting with preparing the monthly management accounts
  • Mentoring and assisting the junior team members
  • Producing balance sheet reconciliations suitable for audit standard review
  • Working effectively with remote teams to ensure processes are working effectively
  • Keeping up to date with the latest changes in accounting standards and the impact they will have
  • Working closely with the FP&A team to track performance against forecasts, and supporting the budgeting/re-forecasting processes
  • Ad-hoc project work where required

The suitable candidate for the role of Senior Management Accountant must be/have:

  • Fully ACA/CIMA qualified
  • Degree from a reputable university
  • Excellent time management and ability to manage own workload and meet deadlines
  • Demonstrable understanding of end-to-end business processes
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Strong written and oral skills
