Neurodiversity is a term used to describe the diverse functioning of people’s brains. Although human brains undergo similar developmental processes, each person’s neurological makeup is distinctly unique. Neurodivergence refers to individuals whose brains operate differently from what is considered typical or “neurotypical.”
Neurodivergent people include those with conditions such as autism, dyslexia, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), and other neurological differences.
